New in 1963 on Hinemoa Street
The caption in Rotorua Photonews Dec 14, 1963 reads : "Supermarkets are all the rage these days. Latest to open is Ray Woolliams in Hinemoa Street. We took pics before it opened. By the end of the first day, about 2,000 people had passed through and Ray was flat out keeping the shelves stocked"
This building still exists and houses Calvary Chapel upstairs, DTR and Grounded Specialty Coffee & Tea Cafe at street level. 2014. -- 2018 now houses Ascend Church, DTR at street level and next door empty.
