Ngapuna derelict building by David Daniel

"This old Deisel Plant was used to generate electricity for Rotorua from 1924-1938. This remained standing for some years unused and decaying until finally it was demolished in October 1987".  From : Rotorua electricity by Don Stafford p17.

Anecdotal evidence is that this building was once a night club, named the Electric Nightclub.

Is there anyone who knows when?
