Ants (as he likes to be called) shown here in the process of putting together a fantastic mural for the KidZone games room. With so many different characters merged into the piece, it is sure to be a feast for children’s minds.

Ants  hails from South Auckland and has always loved Graffiti art. He is keen to show people that Graffiti is a great medium and a serious form of art that has had its reputation damaged by taggers and vandals. Ants vividly remembers being fascinated by a picture of a smurf and hasalways wanted to be an artist, definitely preferring the cartoon styles and especially loves to paint transformers!

Ants would love to travel to Germany in the future to check out the art over there and would also love to run a course in this particular style of artwork. He says it would be a really good thing for youth to find a way to express themselves.  More of Ants work in TeeNZown, at Zippy’s café and down Amohau Street near the skateboard park. [Skateboard park has a new mural as at 2013] as published in the Library newsletter of July 2009.
